Brower Student Center Digital Signage

Approval and Guidelines

  • All content for BSC Wall & TV Displays must be submitted through the Office of Student Life Posting Request Form for approval.
  • Approved content is run on the Outside BSC Digital Wall and Ten TV Displays located throughout the building (AIMM Entrance, BSC 100 Pre-function area, Traditions Restaurant Lobby, SSB Entrance, Lions Den, and 2nd Floor Student Organization lounge). All approved content will be displayed outside and inside unless otherwise requested.

Protocol and Charges

The Outside BSC Digital Wall and Student Center are funded through student fees with no cost to the College. In order to support the required maintenance and future equipment replacement, the following protocol and charges apply:

Charges

  • All RSO Flagship Programs (as defined by the Student Finance Board) are eligible for one (1) free posting.
  • All RSO Non-flagship postings are available at a charge of $15/ad/week.
  • All TCNJ departments postings are available at a charge of $50/ad/week.
  • Third Party Usage is limited to Retail Businesses in Campus Town at a charge of $150/ad for 2 consecutive weeks.

Protocol

  • An ad is a single piece of approved artwork/content.
  • Ads will run for 7 consecutive days, Wednesday to Wednesday.
  • Ads can be requested to run for two consecutive weeks, depending on availability, and will be charged another week’s advertisement fee.
  • Priority will be given to RSOs by securing at least 50% of available slots.
  • Third Parties are eligible to advertise at a charge of $150/ad for 2 consecutive weeks. 1 ad per business per two week period. Requests for additional weeks must be submitted with new artwork. Campus Town Businesses may advertise up to 4x per semester.
  • In addition to approved advertisements, the Office of Student Life will use the BSC Digital Wall & TV Displays at their discretion to highlight the areas of Student Involvement, Fraternity & Sorority Life, the Brower Student Center, Recreation & Wellness, Athletics, and messaging from the Vice President for Student Affairs in order to support the student experience, increase co-curricular and extracurricular engagement, and build TCNJ Spirit. The amount and run time for Office of Student Life advertisements is subject to change based on demand and time of year.
  • External events scheduled through Conference and Event Services (CES) are eligible to use the BSC Digital Wall and TV Displays according to a fee schedule established and maintained between Conference and Event Services and the Office of Student Life.

Design Requirements

Outdoor BSC LED Wall

  • Screens are landscape (horizontal) with aspect ratio is 16:9 with pixel size is 1920w x1080h.
  • File types for images: .pptx, .jpg, .png. All photos should be HD quality. Recommended font sizes are 25-45pt. No font smaller than 20pt.
  • Videos: High Quality, professionally created videos will be considered. Videos can not use or rely on audio as it is not supported on the system. MP4 .MOV are eligible. Videos should be under 2 minutes with a frame rate of 24 or 30 frames per second.

Indoor Displays

  • Digital signage screens are landscape (horizontal) with aspect ratio is 16:9 and the pixel size is 1920w x1080h.
  • Files types for images: .pptx, .jpg, .png. All photos should be HD quality.
  • Videos: High Quality, professionally created videos will be considered. Videos can not use or rely on audio as it is not supported on the system. MP4 .MOV are eligible. Videos should be under 2 minutes with a frame rate of 24 or 30 frames per second.

Outside Digital Display Takeover

Recognized Student Organizations and TCNJ Offices/Departments hosting all or part of their large-scale event in the Brower Student Center may request exclusive access to “takeover” the Outdoors BSC LED Wall. During the takeover period, no other ads will run making the display exclusively dedicated to the event and able to display event specific ads, information, directional signage, etc. Takeovers will be run for a maximum of 8 hours the day of the event. Takeovers will be approved on a first come first serve basis with a maximum of 1 takeover per week.

Takeover Advertising Rates

  • RSOs can takeover the BSC Digital Wall and TV Displays at a charge of $100/takeover
  • TCNJ Departments can take over the BSC Digital Wall and TV Displays at a charge of $200/takeover
  • Requests to use the Outside BSC Digital Wall and/or TV Displays beyond these parameters will be reviewed by the Office of Student Life on a case by case basis.
