Student Staff Positions

Building Manager

Act as an extension of professional staff in the management of Brower Student Center operated facilities. Supervise Building Assistants while on shift ensuring student staff is abiding by all policies and procedures. Delegate and/or complete set-ups for events including furniture, audiovisual, and other event equipment. Conduct regular inspections of the building and while responding to and reporting security and maintenance concerns. Responsible for opening and closing the Brower Student Center. Building Assistant

Operate the BSC Information Desk which provides information, answers questions, distributes keys and game equipment to customers of the Brower Student Center.  Building Assistants also set-up and breakdown equipment for all events taking place in the facility as well as performing limited cleaning duties to maintain a welcoming environment for guests. BAs work very closely with Managers to ensure a streamlined system of operations. Full Building Assistant Job Description

Event Assistant

Monitor incoming student organization event requests made through the Book-It scheduling system. Assist student organization events in the logistics, planning, and completion of event details including making diagrams using the Social Tables diagramming software. Provide supplemental support at the Brower Student Center Information Desk Provide superior customer service when working with customers in person, via the studentevents@tcnj.edu email, and over the phone regarding event requests and concerns. Full Event Assistant Job Description

Game Room Assistant

Responsible for the upkeep of the BSC Game Room including maintaining the inventory of games and equipment while reporting or managing repairs. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of billiards, table tennis, console gaming, etc. Coordinate, market, and run game room tournaments and other Game Room opportunities for students. Employment Requirements

Must be a full time student at The College of New Jersey.

Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings.

All positions require flexible availability including early mornings, late nights, weekends and some breaks. Hours range between Monday-Sunday 7:00am-12:00am.
