Beta Theta Pi Fraternity Recruits Founding Fathers at The College of New Jersey
Oxford, Ohio and Ewing, New Jersey – 13 July 2016 – In collaboration with The College of New Jersey’s Interfraternity Council, Beta Theta Pi will join the ranks of fraternities at the university this spring. TCNJ is one of four schools this academic year to host a new chapter of the international fraternity, the other three being George Mason University, Loyal University Chicago and Miami University.
During the colonization period, the Fraternity’s expansion team will recruit founding fathers who want to excel on campus as gentlemen, leaders and scholars while building a genuine fraternity experience that will last for generations. Bryant Fiesta, a 2016 graduate of the UC Irvine and professional staff member of Beta Theta Pi, will assume the role of colony development coordinator and reside in Ewing, NJ for the 2016-17 academic year. Fiesta will assist the new members in their pursuit of intellectual and professional growth and their knowledge and understanding about the values and core principles of Beta Theta Pi, which include mutual assistance, intellectual growth, trust, responsible conduct and integrity.
“With its focus on values-based leadership, Beta Theta Pi will amplify the educational experience offered at the university,” suggests Christ Althoff, a Beta from Kansas State University who has served for more than a decade as a Beta volunteer and advisor. “For this reason, Beta is more than just a social club. It represents in many cases the pivotal leadership experience in the life of a young man which helps make him a better son, brother, husband and father.”
