- Student Organization: College Expectations for Behavior./01. Alcohol and Drugs./a. No members, collectively or individually, shall purchase for, serve to, or sell alcoholic beverages to any minor while on Organization Premises or during an Organization-Affiliated Event, in any situation sponsored or endorsed by the organization, or at any event an observer would associate with the organization. More specifically, the possession, sale, use or consumption of alcohol beverages must comply with any and all applicable laws of the state, province, country, city and College, and must comply with either BYOB Guidelines or Third Party Vendor Guidelines.
- Student Organization: College Expectations for Behavior./01. Alcohol and Drugs./d. The purchase or use of a bulk quantity or common source(s) of alcoholic beverages, for example, kegs or jungle juice is prohibited.
- Student Organization: College Expectations for Behavior./01,. Alcohol and Drugs./j. No alcohol shall be present at any induction/initiation program, activity, ceremony, or ritual of the Student Organization.
Sanctions:
- Probation effective June 12, 2025 through May 22, 2026
- Organization/Loss of Privilege – Prohibited from hosting new member events/meetings/gatherings off-campus through May 22, 2026.
- Fall 2025 Redefining Our Brotherhood Presentation: To address and eliminate the chapter’s culture of alcohol use during initiation and new member events, the chapter’s New Member Educator and Brother at Large will create and facilitate a “Redefining Our Brotherhood” presentation. Chapter members should be engaged in a brief question and answer session on the below topics and be able to provide feedback. At least 80% of the chapter must be present at this training. Prior to facilitating with the chapter, you must submit a copy of the presentation to the Assistant Director for Student Life for review at minimum of 3 business days prior to the intended date. After the presentation, submit a signed attendance sheet from the chapter meting and a copy of the presentation to the Office of Student Life and the Office of Student Conduct &Off-Campus Services. This must be completed by September 17, 2025. The presentation must include:
- A reflection on fraternity values and what brotherhood means to the members
- Acknowledgement of how past practices involving alcohol during new member events conflict with those values
- Ways to integrate and bond with new members without the use of alcohol
- Ideas for building more positive traditions
- Spring 2026 Redefining Our Brotherhood New Member Education Calendar: Based on the Redefining Our Brotherhood Presentation, the chapter’s New Member Educator and Brother at Large will develop an updated New Member Education calendar required by Student Life for the Spring 2026 semester. Decisions on meetings/events in the calendar should refer to specific information discusses in the presentation and feedback given by the chapter members. How this information is demonstrated for the calendar is up to the chapter, but should clearly reflect the decision making in determining meetings/events. Submit the New Member Education calendar to the Assistant Director for Student Life by future deadlines communicated with all chapters for Spring 2026, with the final calendar submitted to Alpha Epsilon Pi headquarters staff and the Office of Student Conduct & Off-Campus Services by February 28, 2026.
- Values-Based Recruitment Training (from HQ): The chapter will engage in a structured recruitment training program hosted by Alpha Epsilon Pi headquarters staff (or their designee) before the start of Fall 2025 IFC Recruitment. The training will focus on values-based recruitment and decision-making around bid extension. At least 80% of the chapter must be present at this training. Submit a signed attendance sheet from the training to Alpha Epsilon Pi headquarters staff, the Office of Student Life, and the Office of Student Conduct & Off-Campus Services. This must be completed by September 7, 2025.
- Health and Safety Seminar (from HQ): The chapter must participate in a Health and Safety seminar presented by Alpha Epsilon Pi headquarters staff (or their designee) focusing on risk management, harm reduction, and bystander intervention. At least 90% of the chapter must be present at the seminar. This includes active and newly initiated members. Submit a signed attendance sheet from the seminar to Alpha Epsilon Pi headquarters staff, the Office of Student Life, and the Office of Student Conduct & Off-Campus Services. This must be completed by October 10, 2025.
- Executive Board Attendance at Fall 2025 Regional Training (from HQ): All executive board members will attend the Fall 2025 regional training to strengthen their leadership skills and reinforce a chapter culture rooted in responsibility and compliance. The final date of the Regional Training has not been determined, but anticipated to take place in November 2025. Proof of registration and a group photo from the regional training should be submitted to Alpha Epsilon Pi headquarters staff, the Office of Student Life, and the Office of Student Conduct & Off-Campus Services.

- utilize a minimum of 4 realistic scenarios to practice “What Would You Do?” in efforts with the chapter
- Amnesty Policy and what to do (call, stay, cooperate/provide information)
- Organization responsibility when at events that do not comply with BYO procedures/3rd Party Vendor
- Proactive measures (when having mixers or other events that may be associated with the organization, how are we mitigating risk before the event?)
- Plans for ensuring compliance with BYO
- Plans for checking IDs and differentiating between 21 and under 21
- Plan to monitor consumption
- Group chat for each event with sober monitors, president, etc.
- Expectations for house members where events are hosted
- Safety – if a brother or guest shows up intoxicated, what to do if medical attention is necessary
- Right to refuse entry including how to proceed when doing so
- Bringing concerns to sober monitors’ attention
- Conversation regarding expectations of off-campus members (risk when hosting events that can be associated with the organization)
- Workshop needs an assessment upon completion to measure learning objectives
